Book formatting process

STEP 01

Fill a form with your book formatting details

The first step to getting your book formatting is to fill out our formatting details form located at the bottom of the page. This form will help us understand your book formatting and what you need from us. Once you have filled out the form, we will review it and get back to you within 24 hours. We will then discuss your formatting in more detail.

STEP 02

50% Payments

Once we have agreed on the book formatting details, we will ask you to send us a 50% payment. The remaining 50% of the payment will be due upon completion of the project.

STEP 03

Drafts process

Once we have received your 50% payment and agreed on the book formatting details, our designer will start creating different drafts for the 1st chapter, the number of drafts will depend on the selected plan. These drafts will be based on your book formatting details and your feedback.

STEP 04

Revision process

Once you have chosen a draft, our designer will move on to the full book formatting. This is where we will work with you to make changes to the design until you are completely satisfied. You will receive the revised design for review and feedback. This process will continue until you are completely happy with the design.

STEP 05

Final stage

Once we are both happy with the formatting, we will send you the final files for your approval. You will have the opportunity to make any final changes before we send you the final invoice. When you have approved the final files, we will ask you to send us the remaining 50% of the payment. After receiving the payment, we will send you the final files in all the formats you need, including print-ready PDFs.

Let's answer some questions

What payment system do you use?

keyboard_arrow_down

Our preferred payment method is PayPal. PayPal is a secure and convenient way to pay online. It's also widely accepted, so most people will already have an account.

What rights do I get? (This is in the case your book formatting contains some royalty-free imagery)

keyboard_arrow_down

When ordering from Anointing Productions, the Client purchases a STANDARD LICENSE that allows them to:

• Sell an unlimited number of e-books and promote the book.
• Use their print cover to sell up to 500,000 physical copies of books.

After payment has been made, the Client has all the rights to use their book under the Depositphotos Standard License terms of use.

If the Client exceeds sales of 500,000 books, they may need to purchase an EXTENDED LICENSE for each photo playing a major role.

Here are the key differences between the Standard License and the Extended License:

• Standard License: Allows for the sale of an unlimited number of e-books and the promotion of the book, and up to 500,000 physical copies of books.
• Extended License: Allows for the sale of an unlimited number of e-books and the promotion of the book, and an unlimited number of physical copies of books.

In other words, the Extended License removes the limitation on the number of physical copies of books that can be sold.

Which license is right for me?

keyboard_arrow_down

The right license for you will depend on your specific needs. If you expect to sell more than 500,000 physical copies of your book, then you will need to purchase the Extended License. However, if you do not expect to sell that many physical copies, then the Standard License will be sufficient.

Do you offer content edits?

keyboard_arrow_down

No, we don't. We only format the final file provided by the author.

What do you need to format my book?

keyboard_arrow_down

To start working on your book formatting, we need your final, proofread manuscript in electronic format (Microsoft Word or Apple Pages), information about your book and genre, and a few extra details specific to the layout of your book (such as publishing platform and book size).

What if I don't like the finished product?

keyboard_arrow_down

We understand that not everyone loves everything they see. That's why we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy with the finished product, we'll work with you to make it right. We can make changes to the design. We pride ourselves in publishing your words, your way, so we’re willing to ensure you love the final product.

What is your source of images?

keyboard_arrow_down

We source our images from a variety of stock websites, including Shutterstock, iStock, and Depositphotos. However, our principal source is Depositphotos.com, which offers a wide variety of high-quality images. We are confident that Depositphotos.com is the best source of images for our clients, and we are committed to using only the highest quality images in our designs.

Please give me a custom quote as I have very different requirements for my book formatting.

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, we can certainly give you a custom quote. We understand that every book's formatting is different, and we want to make sure that we create a layout that is perfect for your specific needs. We will then review your information and provide you with a custom quote. We are confident that we can create a book formatting that meets your needs and your budget.

How do you work with edits after the first delivery?

keyboard_arrow_down

We always give a PDF link which can be accessed online to add comments easily. we can also provide a tutorial video guide for your convenience.

Are your designs compatible with print houses and major websites online?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, our designs are compatible with print houses and major websites online. We use industry-standard file formats for our designs, so they can be easily imported and used by print houses and major websites. We also make sure that our designs are of high quality, so they will look great on both print and digital platforms.

Will my eBook look the same as my physical book?

keyboard_arrow_down

To ensure that we’re maximizing compatibility across all devices (Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Fire, iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.), we’ll create an eBook file that can be read by all e-readers. This means that the eBook file will be a simpler version of the print book file and they will not look exactly the same.

The text on Kindle varies format-wise, so we can't control where it will be located on each device. Not everyone will see it the same way, as formatting will vary depending on the device used and its screen size. For instance, on a mobile phone, you may see some pages where the text starts with extra spacing, and the same text may show up differently on a tablet. If I change the font size, the pages' breakdown will change as well. The same will happen with headers, charts, and hyphenation, so keep in mind that the formatting for eBooks is quite restrictive; the formatting needs to be very basic and clean. I cannot include different fonts or different elements like in the print version since each user who will read your book in this version has the ability to change fonts, sizes, spacing, etc.

Are you ok with signing an NDA before I hand over my Manuscript to you?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, we are happy to sign NDA for your manuscript protection.

What is the refund policy?

keyboard_arrow_down

If you're not totally satisfied with the drafts, we offer a 60% refund over the initial payment. We want you to be happy with your design, so we're willing to work with you to make it right. However, we cannot offer a refund after the revision process. This is because the revision process is an opportunity for you to make changes to the design and get it exactly the way you want it.
